Sales are the lifeblood of every enterprise, yet in Latin America many companies still rely on slow, manual sales processes that struggle to keep up with today’s digital-first customers. Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing this reality, revolutionizing how companies manage sales and marketing and becoming an indispensable tool for those seeking an edge. Seeing this shift, we at Kfund are excited to lead the Seed round of Patagon AI, an Argentinean startup using AI-powered agents to supercharge enterprise sales across all of Latin America.
Patagon AI has developed an innovative platform that automates and optimizes sales processes using generative AI agents. In essence, the platform replaces costly sales development roles with intelligent agents that engage leads, qualify prospects, follow up, and even handle post-sales interactions autonomously. These AI agents leverage data-driven insights to improve customer engagement, boost lead conversion rates, and streamline marketing campaigns. The result is faster, more efficient sales cycles with minimal human intervention.
The impact has been remarkable. Patagon’s early deployments have achieved over 3x higher conversion rates than traditional approaches (an at a fraction of the cost), and some clients have seen sales jump by up to 400% after implementing its solution, all while enabling companies to scale their sales operations without adding headcount (or, in several cases, even reducing it). This innovation, letting AI do the heavy lifting in lead management, is already changing how businesses across the region approach sales and grow.
Beyond automation, Patagon AI delivers true end-to-end attribution for WhatsApp-first funnels. The platform captures UTMs and click IDs at the first touch, links them to every conversation the agents have, and syncs outcomes back to the CRM and ad platforms via offline conversions. This closed loop shows, in real time, which campaigns, creatives, and channels actually drive qualified meetings and revenue, letting customers reallocate budget to the highest-return paths, reduce CAC, and scale with confidence.
Latin America’s enterprises are accelerating their digital transformation, creating a vast opportunity to bring AI efficiency into their sales practices. The region is highly connected, having hundreds of millions of smartphone users, the vast majority of which prefer WhatsApp for both personal and business communication. Yet, despite the prevalence of digital channels, many sales teams still lack tools to harness them effectively.
Patagon’s solution meets this need head-on by seamlessly integrating its robust AI-native platform with the messaging software Latin Americans use every day and turning them into powerful sales channels. All in a WhatsApp interface. Unlike one-size-fits-all global software, Patagon is built for LatAm, deploying bilingual AI agents, adapting to local messaging habits, and attuned to regional business needs. As companies invest more in modern cloud and AI tools, demand for platforms like Patagon’s only grows.
Our conviction in Patagon AI was reinforced by the impressive traction the team has achieved in such a short time. Founded in 2024, the startup quickly expanded its presence to five countries throughout the region, already catering a pan-Latin American client base across sectors such as automotive, real estate, insurance, and healthcare, amongst others.
These early customers are reporting dramatic improvements in sales metrics. Engagement with leads has climbed as high as 90%, and conversion rates have reached up to 60%, demonstrating the power of Patagon’s technology to drive marketing ROI and sales efficiency. Patagon’s ability to deliver tangible value across multiple countries in such a short time convinced us that this team is building something truly special.
As it naturally had to be in early rounds, our decision was primarily cemented by Patagon AI’s outstanding founding team. David Grandes, the company’s CEO, has a strong track record, having scaled the Latin American startup Restorando, and Cristian Adamo, its CTO, brings more than 15 years of experience in data and AI engineering, having previously led AI initiatives at JP Morgan. On the commercial side, Roberto Guerrero, Patagon’s CRO, is a serial entrepreneur who sold his first company to Ecuador’s largest health provider, and, last but not least, Mariano Rey, the company’s CMO, was formerly CMO of Botmaker, a leading chatbot platform in Latin America.
Together, this team unites deep technical mastery with firsthand knowledge of the sales and marketing landscape in the region, with a very heads down, execution-heavy culture.
We believe Patagon AI is on its way to becoming a transformative partner for Latin American enterprises by automating the labor-intensive parts of the sales process and freeing human teams to focus on what they do best: building relationships and closing deals.
Patagon’s platform doesn’t just add another tool, it becomes integral to a client’s workflow, extracting data from WhatsApp chats and feeding insights into the CRM to turn conversations into actionable sales intelligence. As the AI agents learn from each interaction and integrate more deeply with customers’ systems, the value they provide will only grow, making the platform increasingly indispensable.
For Kfund, this investment is a testament to our conviction in Latin America’s tech ecosystem. It is our first investment in Argentina and further deepens our commitment to the region. We could not be more excited to support Patagon AI on this journey and we look forward to working alongside the Patagon team as they scale their vision across Latin America, helping companies turn conversations into conversions and spearheading a new era of AI-powered sales excellence.
